Stephen Reader had been listening to Ponyoak -- and only Ponyoak -- for years, posted "Glander's Biennial" on facebook, a friend tipped me off to this bandcamp, and now feeling like a moron for waiting so long to explore the rest of his stuff. great record, awesome to hear this next iteration of the sound after being alone with one record for so long. "Reunited Airlines" and "Have We Been Working Out" are the first two major hits to reveal themselves to me, and "Hard World Flooring" just keeps growing. Favorite track: Have We Been Working Out? (Bling Bling).

The illustrious Smith album, produced after the Ponyoak brouhaha/lol, presented <i>sans Dramas</i> (as Redman would say, non-functional italics tags included - he's weird like that) for your enjoyment/health.

One time I was hanging out at Locksley's loft in Bushwick (maybe, it was before I lived here) and they had the Smith album in the bathroom. I took a picture with my Sony TH-55 that featured a roll of toll paper with "I am better than this" written on it, followed by an arrow pointing to the Smith album.

Note that this is not my opinion - I think these songs are far better than the songs on Ponyoak. But the world has spoken, after all 6 billion plus of you personally listened to the Smith album. The votes are in: this album blows. Do you disagree?
